After almost a decade of failed attempts at building a respectable website for my company, Shakespeare and Co. Restaurants, I had all but given up hope. Amongst the issues I previously faced included a lethargic pace of development, not adhering to mutually agreed timelines, moderate to severe resistance to certain ideas we wanted to realize, and ultimately, failure to execute on our vision.

This year, I decided to take another crack at it, and tendered the project to several well-reviewed companies. Pro Web emerged as the leading contender due to their swift response, satisfactorily addressing all my concerns (particularly the aforementioned issues with previous developers), and providing us a competitive quote and payment terms.

They kicked off the project with surprising but welcome haste, and I in turn, had applied pressure from the get go as we couldn't afford any downtime, particularly in regards to our online shop which was receiving consistent traffic and a potentially lucrative revenue stream for us in recent times. They had the old site down, and the e-commerce portion of the site up and running in a week. Impressive. They consistently adhered to timelines, and in fact this time around the delays came on our end as we had other facets of our business we were compelled to prioritize. They remained patient, followed up consistently, and implemented our ideas and corrections with astounding speed. As in, changes were executed within minutes of being communicated to them through our dedicated Whatsapp project channel.

The result? A site we could finally be collectively proud of. It is functional, concise, communicates our brand and aspects of our business we wanted to highlight clearly, and the overall aesthetic, speed and add-on features we elected to implement all form a cohesive experience that at long last, embody the spirit of who we are and what we do as a proud UAE homegrown restaurant concept.
